Fira caught Drake full in the face and he yelped, diving out of the way. Merri had said water - Drake had been hoping for something else. Something that he could do. Unfortunately, unless he wanted to go home as a hume blister pillow, he was going to have to figure something else out. The mages, he knew, were better equipped to deal with this than he was. And the sentinel could keep the attention on him, at least somewhat.
He didn't know the other two mages that were suddenly there, so he wasn't sure what their skillsets were. At least one of them had conjured up Blizzaga, so maybe a black mage? Still, better to assume that Merri was going to be the damage dealer and fall into the background. So, what could he do?
While he was thinking, he concentrated on Chakra. He wouldn't be any use to anyone if he couldn't move, so healing himself it was.
And that was when it hit him. He knew that Chakra had some sort of magick renewal capability - it was never an issue for him, since chi wasn't magick - and who would need that? Mages.
