“All right,” Juliette said, more than a little confounded by the entire thing, “I will.” She had tenacity, after all -- it was one of her better skills.
“I think perhaps…” she looked out at the milling crowd, for once not seeing any familiar faces (naturally now this would happen, that she was looking for them), “I ought to find my sister.” It didn’t have to be a lie if she did seek out Alys, and she had lost sight of her some time before. “I do hope you have a pleasant rest of your evening, Lady… Siri.”
It sounded foolish, but it was the best she had.
Siri smiled, “Prophet.” Not Lady, something else — but her statement was vague enough, it could mean anything or nothing. The dismissal rang loud and clear to the woman, and she didn’t seemed to mind at all. Instead she bowed slightly.
