Slowly but surely, she realized what happened as she came back to her senses, quickly scanning her surroundings. There was the Subject, standing in front of her, wearing a furious look - not that she could blame him, had she been in the same situation, her attacker would probably be already dead. Behind him stood the blonde woman he left with. Alecta vaguely recalled seeing her before, but for the life of her, she couldn't remember her name - her brain still worked a bit slow, too slow for her liking and for the situation. Here she was, paralyzed, while two members of the Guild completely had her fate in their hands - basically, she was fucked.
Damn traps. If she weren't so angry right now, she would be impressed by them.
She grimaced when her weapon was taken from her. Weaponless, that was not something she was used to and it made her feel even more uncomfortable, if that was possible. She could fight, if she had to, but she was nowhere near as good in real combat as she was with silent kills. Her heart beat faster in her chest, her breathing heavy as she struggled to calm herself. This was not what she had in mind for tonight. But there was no way, absolutely no way she was dying here tonight, no. She was a survivor, she wouldn't give up easily.
Choosing to completely ignore his words altogether, she took a deep breath and spoke slowly. "Nice traps. I admit, I didn't expect it."
