Technically speaking, Cressida hadn't missed her birthday. Her family had still celebrated it with her with cake and presents that tailored to her own specific interests: arrows, some armor, a few healing items, paper flowers from her sister and a ridiculous Moogle doll from her brothers, who had shared a look of satisfaction over her shoulder when she'd rolled her eyes. How unfortunate it was that her family knew her so well that they understand what would and would definitely not please her.
The arrival of Ari had her perking up, and she took the glass of wine without question. She had yet to taste it, being still rather surprised over Drake's presence, but it would soon give way to approval. Though she hadn't been aware the two knew each other, Drake was one of the few people she didn't mind celebrating a birthday with. And Ari, though they'd only met that one time, felt like someone who just knew how to celebrate a birthday.
Following the second clink against her glass, Cressida lifted the wine to her lips and sipped. "I wouldn't mind hearing you sing, Drake," she admitted after swallowing, in a matter that was too innocent to be genuine. Had she been one of her brothers, she might have grinned something evil.
