"I've got my own set of particular skills," Cian answered, his tone neutral. "They're useful at times. Not so much looking to make financial contributions, but an extra pair of hands comes in handy here and there. If you need something, let me know, and I'll see if I can help."
It was a valuable thing -- an open offer of aid from someone with his resources. No doubt Rozenkatz had at least some idea of the breadth of his network (larger, lately, no thanks to the work he'd been doing for the Spymaster). The councilors were all connected, but they also didn't spend much time on the ground, in his experience.
"Thanks for that," he answered with a chuckle. "Keeping me clear of stacks of paper is probably a good bet." And never mind that he did his own accounting; what no one knew wouldn't hurt him.
