Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
"I suspect it is." She couldn't help but feeling mildly amused by the situation, though at the same time it left an uneasy feeling sinking in her gut. Who else had she allowed up here in this time? Never mind allowing someone to intrude upon her personal space while in such a compromised state. Not even Rictor had been given such. A low grumble reared up in the back of her head, which very well would have caused a frown normally, but she was able to prevent such an action, even in her compromised state and dismissed the thought.
The bard's joining in on Aspel's meager attempt at the song brought a certain warmness to her heart, and while the words would forever be but snippets in her mind, Ari clearly remembered, and that held its own level of worth. At the end and after Ari's comment, Aspel would tilt her head, open her eyes and offer a hand palm up to the other woman, offering it up to hold hands, even if only for a moment.
"I remember that which gives me chills, as I find such to be few and far between." There was once again that heartfelt tenderness rising, even if she had not intended for it to come out as such. Ari may not have had a lead role in the play that the song originated from, but even back then, she had stood out tremendously in Aspel's mind. Though, perhaps such an admission was a bit much, their first meeting had been years ago, and it was a rather personal memory she'd just shared, but somehow, Aspel couldn't find a bit of harm in it, even if it did feel a bit odd. However, on the other hand, it was the truth, and wasn't that what so many sought?
