Ari’s smile widened; had they not been in the corner of a rather busy room, she might have followed up on the extremely obvious reaction with more than just words; as it was, she only said, somewhat slyly, “An idea to hold on to for another time -- and place -- perhaps. Your kitchen seems a likely candidate.” She’d meant to get around to the honey sometime sooner rather than later, though they had found themselves well-occupied with other activities. But all things considered, she didn’t think she’s forget about it a second time. “Does anything else need doing?” she asked then. It seemed the desserts were well in hand, but really, what did she know? Her eyes had risen when Ari spoke again, looking at the person you were engaging in conversation with was only proper, but then the words which came out. “I…” Aspel attempted to start, before swallowing, her brain not making full words really, but that would have to be something she’d need to get over. “Mm.” Was the noise of agreement which was finally settled on as she continued to arrange and set things in their proper places. “Ah, yes, I do believe this is it.” A glance was taken towards the kitchen briefly before looking back at the bard. “To assure no one obtains illness from this eve, Vivi has arranged for catering.” With that, a faint - mildly embarrassed - smile was given to the other woman. In the end, it simply was what it was. “It’s probably wise, and all attending parties will be properly grateful. Vivi really was the best choice for that particular task. But I think I’ll look forward to dessert especially.” She took up the second -- and smaller -- of the platters upon which the cupcakes had been arranged. “Let’s rejoin the party before they start wondering what we’re up to back here.” She shot the other woman a grin and added, “I would hate to have to tell everyone about my honey idea before we’ve gotten a chance to try it.” That said, she moved towards the others gathered at the table near the window with a very pleased smirk on her face. An idea for later, perhaps. A very good idea for later, all things considered. |
