Ridley/Juliette/Perdita/Mag
The crack of broken bones was impossible to miss. She offered a prayer that it had been nothing vital; there was no time to heal with the Slime bearing down upon them. Mag gritted her teeth and skewered one of the monsters, but as one went down another appeared. They were multiplying. Her most powerful offensive move was Jump, but she couldn't risk going up in the air and leaving the girls unprotected.
She wished she knew some kind of offensive magic, but wishing wasn't going to do them any good.
"If you can all walk, I'll cover you so we can all get away," she told them, breath starting to come faster as she smacked one of the Slime aside for trying to get past her guard. "Shieldwyrm Hall isn't far. You'll be safe there."
An Aero spell pushed her back a pace, and she felt her shoulder hit the corner of the alleyway. Numbness spread down her arm from the point of impact, and she hoped her shoulder wasn't wrecked. Still, she could use her spear one-handed. She was about to attack the offending monster when she saw another take advantage of the moment to slip past and head toward Perdita—perhaps thinking to get her out of the game while she was down.
"Oh, no, you don't." Mag ran to stand between the monster and the scholar, and felt the Aero aimed at Perdita slam into her.
