Toku/Flynn/Aspel/Merri vs Willem
Merri had felt guilty leaving his mother behind in the restaurant without a promise that he would be back soon; he was not so naive or optimistic to believe that the fight would be over quickly and without injury, though he would do his best to strive for both to reduce casualties. Instead, he left behind his coin purse to pay for the dinner and begged his mother to stay far away from the Mages Tower until the all-clear came, and to please not worry about him but he had to do this.
It was difficult to miss the behemoth Toku had warned about on the network, and Merri shuddered when his eyes fell upon it. Where to begin even casting against this monster? He had never seen anything like it in any of the bestiaries he'd studied, but he couldn't not stand and gawk as it destroyed everything in its path on the way to the Tower.
It wasn't long before Merri found Toku and Flynn, and he grasped at his own rapier (he had taken it to dinner out of pride and vanity, something he'd been sheepish to admit to but now he was relieved he had done so) and unsheathed it as he joined Flynn's side.
Before he could ask or say anything, he noticed the hume straight ahead, the one who seemed to be leading the monster, and Merri's heart sank. Faram, not again. Please, not again. He gulped and cast Stun at the hume, hoping that this time, unlike the last time he'd fought one, the spell would take hold.
