Ari/Gillian/Ophion/Ash/Ceres
With a crack of crystal, and a crash of it to the floor, it seemed - for a split second - that perhaps their greatest foe would be done and gone. With the distance she'd out between herself and the rest of the party in order to distract and confuse the beast, it seemed like it was going to be a sprint to make it back towards e rest of the group, to tighten up their line, and hold down the defensive offense that the rest of the grottos was sure to need. Or at least, that was what Ceres had thought until two of the floating deformed faced monsters descended upon the group and exploded into a burst of fire - and Ceres would guess - shrapnel. The cries of those damaged rung in her ears. While they should have all been capable combatants, these were still the people of her city and she was failing them in this moment. Unfortunately for her, she'd be the first on the new line of offensive needed as more beasts came down the hall.
This was no battle plan, it was lambs to the slaughter. How were they going to continue like this?
Readying her gun blade, Ceres attempted to recall how many shots she'd allowed to ring out before now but to no avail. The rapid firing hadn't been good for counting, and she only had one more preloaded clip in reserve. The former KingsGuard would have to hold that in reserve.
With that, quick foot work moved her out of the immediate way of danger, just long enough to summon up a thunders spell, and unleash it upon the nearest foe.
