As Faith and Protect did their work, Zacheus closed his eyes and exhaled, increasing his Focus. The effect was instantaneous: new power quickly flowed through his veins, and although it would only last for one attack, the Ranger planned to make the most of it.
Zacheus took in the scene around them with hawk-like eyes, studying each monster with steady precision. He would leave the Tyranorox to the heavy hitters. Focusing on the airborne creatures, he fired a barrage of arrows at the four closest redmaws. Each whistling arrow pierced its target, and the force caused them to tumble backwards a few feet in the air. Wounded, the redmaws let out a terrifying screech and—faram damn it, began to self-destruct, triggering a chain reaction with the others, including some Zacheus hadn’t even attacked.
Cascading blasts knocked the archer and everyone else within range down to the cavern floor, rock and debris flying everywhere.
