A waiter appeared to take their orders, and she ordered a simple bowl of soup. She had little appetite, but knew that she needed to put at least something filling in her stomach.
Once the waiter had left, she smiled. "I quite agree. Perhaps, if you can get away from whatever work you are doing this afternoon, you would be amenable to keeping me company?" She was still a bit irked with him, but the thought of having him to sleep on was rather quickly thawing that ice.
