[THE ROAST (Commoners) - 8:00AM]
Loch rose with the sun, as she did every morning. The docks area woke up before the rest of the city did, yet for once, she wouldn't be part of its dynamics. Got a meeting with the Guildmaster, she'd told Philip, and for once, his words ran in the same direction as her thoughts: then you'd best not keep such an important man waiting.
The full-body suit was set aside in favor of a simpler mask that covered only her mouth and nose. A sacrifice she'd been forced to make—if hide-and-seek was the game, then she needed to be as inconspicuous as possible, herself. And so she donned black pants, a shirt and a thick coat. A scarf covered the mask; it was not uncommon, as the weather turned colder and colder, to see people walking about with half their faces covered. The outfit would draw little attention, and allow her far more freedom of movement than the alternative.
Duke Reinholdt would be around, somewhere. If the Guildmaster truly wished to stay out of sight, Loch knew none of them would ever find him; but such a one-sided game of hide-and-seek would hold no entertainment value for the man. Most likely, he'd be hiding in plain sight, amusing himself by watching the members of his guild run up and down trying to locate him.
She walked away from the docks and into the city proper. Those few already on the streets at such an early hour were attired similarly to her, and so she was free to wander up and down the streets without scrutiny. She made a point to avoid anyone who looked particularly pale, or showed symptoms of sickness. As her patrol continued, she was witness to the city's slow awakening.
She left the line and took the chair across from him. "Do excuse me, sir," Loch said, the smirk hidden by her scarf. "I seem to have forgotten my wallet at home, silly me, and I doubt I'd be allowed to occupy a table without buying a drink first." The usual drawl and slur that accompanied her words was scrubbed away. "We could pretend I came in and you were waiting waiting for me all along, could we not?"
