ooc: sure thing~
He heard Gale's words, and he thought about Quen, who had to live with this affliction where no amount of Esuna or Blindna spells could ever cure it. How badly how she must want to see! But his mind quickly drifted from that and into a worrisome thought: what if he were to be afflicted with blindness for the rest of his life? If he didn't cure himself soon, maybe that's what would happen! He opened his mouth to voice this concern to Gale, but it occurred to him: this was the point.
So he took in one last deep breath and made a final go at the spell.
He felt the intended effects of Esuna, and for a while, nothing happened. Then the darkness turned into a blurry whiteness as though the sun was shining directly in his eyes, and he squinted as a grin split on his face. It worked! Not completely, but it was more than what he had before.
"I can see!" he reported to Gale enthusiastically. "Well, almost! Let me try again!"
It took more than a few more tries, but slowly, he regained his full vision, and his heart beat with a thrilling excitement. "It worked!"
