Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
The merriment apparent in the atmosphere could lighten anyone's mood. Though, the sourpusses weren't unnoticeable either. Thankfully, they were few and far between at least. Tonight's order would be simple, a strong hard liquor in an attempt to distract even further. The gil had been slid across the counter to pay for her drink, with tip included before the glass was even lifted. However, it would stop part way as a familiar voice chimed in from amongst the masses of the bar and throws of noise. A shift in her seat would be taken easily, curiosity etching itself across her features momentarily before taking note of just where and who the voice had come from.
Ah, Ari.
A smile pulled full across her face at the sight of the other woman. "Surprise seeing you here." The joke in her tone was obvious. This wasn't uncommon meeting ground for the two, but it didn't mean Aspel had expected the actress and singer to be present on this eve either. "Been keeping your nose clean?" The corners of Aspel's mouth quirked up a bit more, a slight dance picking up in tired eyes at the playful jab. While the smith was never entirely sure where Ari stood in regards to the law and abiding by it, most of the entertainer's she'd known throughout her life tended to not abide by strictest sense of the law... Not that Aspel minded one bit with her own morals setting slightly askew from many of her Knight brethren.
"Won't be needing to discipline you tonight, will I?" Really, the only appropriate reaction to follow such statement with was a smirk, and it felt as natural as it came.
