There was only a sip left in the glass. Ari regarded it with narrowed eyes, then said, "All right, if you're guilting me." She knocked the contents of the glass back in one go, miraculously managing to stay in her seat while she did it, then set the now-empty vessel back on the counter with a firm thump. "There, nothing wasted."
To Aspel's other comment, she gave a shrug. "He takes care of his best customers." If not the bartender, one of his staff would eventually assist her. Until such time as that occurred, she was content to stay on this stool and enjoy the evening and the company, even if she was a long way past tipsy.
