Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
"One day you'll eat those words." The toast was shared easily, though it continued to keep in place the curious look on her face. While it wasn't uncommon to click glasses, it wasn't as if this was a special occasion, or was it? "Curious." Came the amused murmur, a tick of Aspel's that she'd retained from a young age. The single, simple word was both means of question and a habit of space filler. "But I'm so charming, how could you?" The smirk would not be wiped from her face as the drink was brought up, a simple sip being taken as the strong, liquor left a harsh taste in her mouth.
Head tilted slightly as Ari settled in, amusement continuing to linger across Aspel's features. "Keeping me company?" The crowd around them would be ignored for the time. If anything, Aspel was skilled in paying attention to those who sought her eye and ear. Which, in this instance, the rising star of a performer certainly was. While it was a wise business move to befriend someone of Ari's status, it wasn't the gil that interested Aspel as much as the company that was given by the other woman. The feeling of a finger brushing along the tip of her nose caused eyes to dip closed and a small shake pulled through her body of a muted laugh. "Wouldn't be the first time, nor last." Thankfully, Aspel had cleaned up at least some before exiting for the evening. She'd been a frightful mess from smithing all day previous to that.
The doubtful look which crossed Aspel's face at the bard's statement of standing, wiped away quickly with a low laugh and another drink when the qualifiers were put in place surrounding it. "I know your sort all too well, don't think I'd miss what that means." Hand filled with glass gestured in a circular motion to the debauchery that was likely around.
