It had been a quiet walk thus far, and any creatures they encountered on their route easily deterred into looking for easier prey or, barring that, dispatched. It was quiet now, however, as they reached the woods, and when Ridley moved forward, Peony allowed it, falling behind to walk alongside the dragoon instead.
