Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
A slight smile pulled at the corners of Aspel's mouth and a brief nod was given. Moving across the forge, the smith would duck behind the counter and retrieving the appropriate gil (50g) for the errands Stone had run that day. A few easy steps would be taken to close the distance between herself and the girl as she counted over the money to assure the amount was correct. With the simple task done she offered it over without much thought.
"I believe we may need to renegotiate your rates if I shall be hiring you for regular work instead of these one off jobs." Generally, Aspel tried only to hire kids when she desperately needed something done that she couldn't get to herself, or when there seemed to be need for distraction. However, with regular work, it would make her life easier and the shop would most likely run much smoother. Not that Aspel had been unable to keep a hand on things, but it sometimes left her running about hecticly and left her ragged.
"I was thinking the work would probably run ten to twenty hours a week." She mused over the statement a moment, considering the situation. "How would ten Gil an hour sound?" It wasn't an incredible amount, but it was higher than the base pay of the city and could potentially let Stone earn quite a bit depending on how the girl handled her money.
