The coolness from the window was greatly appreciated, and with it, the girl’s inner feelings at the moment cleared a bit. Her mind raced at what to tell Aspel after listening to her story. ‘Well, I was in the sewers, I got some potions, I sold some old coins for a bunch of money, and now I’m going to be learning magicks to help me out in Guild work in the future,’ Stone thought, but she of course could never say all of that aloud. She had people who gave her their confidence, and the dark-haired girl herself needed to keep her nose clean as well. So, the last part she simply relayed.
“Gonna be learning Fire soon. The magick, that is.” The pale girl looked upward, thinking about what else, in good conscience, she could share. Exhaling, she quickly raised her arms in a defeated, nonchalant manner, before they fell at her clothed knees with a rapid succession of pat-pat.
“…Does life always have to suck, Aspel?” Stone surprised herself at the abrupt admission, but hey, no reason not to get all ‘life-wondering,’ as the young girl would put it.
