Who: Siana and Peony What: Magical consultation Where: EKP offices When: Today, mid-morning Rating: PG13 for mention of murder (no explicit descriptions) Status: Complete!
Siana had seen the rumors fly about on the network, but aside from wild speculations, there was nothing substantial or suspicious to gleam from anything said. Cultists, people were saying, and though the markings on the body was damning it was not solid proof. She refused to believe that they didn't mean something, but to jump to any conclusion at the moment would close too many doors that they could not afford to close.
All the same, she had spent nearly a week with other peacekeepers to try to discern something -- anything -- that could lead to the murder or his or her motives, but there was nothing. More, nobody had come around to claim or identify the body, which was not surprising considering, but without information regarding the man's interactions in or how he lived his life, they were at a greater loss. No suspects, no real clues, only indecipherable markings on which those working the case had varied opinions.
"There are some people who aren't right in the head," shrugged some. "Maybe it really is cultists," said others.
That was why Siana called in outside help, much to Prichard's surprise. "A mage?" he asked with a snort. "You?"
He was not here this morning, however, and Siana waited alone at her desk, going through all the paperwork for the case. Peony should be here at any moment, and Siana, lately, had not been able to think about anything else. This was not like most murder cases, and though she did not like to buy into the cultist rumors, something about all of this chilled her to the bones.
