The machinist couldn't help the groan that escaped as she slowly started pulling herself back together. Thankfully, the fall wasn't as bad as it could have been, and other than feeling achey, nothing immediately appeared massively injured or broken. The mechanisms within the boots for the boost of jumping appeared to have absorbed a fair amount of the fall shock, and the extra padding she'd worn out seemed to have taken the bulk of impact otherwise. Though, the tightened muscles while falling wouldn't help anything come morning, of that she was sure.
Leaving herself on the ground for a moment longer, a slight noise was given as the machinist began to slowly push back, and get herself up on hands and knees. That, of course, was met with a somewhat unfamiliar tone. Blinking a few times, Riyeko finally ventured a look up to see just who precisely was speaking, and.... Found herself rather displeased with the results. However, as the machinist was accustomed to hiding her thoughts, and rather extensive feelings from others, a faint smile was offered instead.
"PEBCAK error." Surprisingly, she couldn't help the slight amount of cheer in her voice. Though, the thought of reverse thrusters did play along the back of her mind at the same time. Something not quite as strong as the take off hover packs for flying around, but something to slow the landing. Why hadn't she thought of it more extensively before? Though admittedly, if one used the hover insert controls appropriately, it wasn't as much of an issue. Perhaps if she put in an altitude reader that linked into the reverse thrusters it could auto initiate when a certain pressure was fallen below and... The thoughts were pushed aside.
"The next revision will fix it." The cheer in her voice resumed, and Riyeko pushed back, struggling to get back on her feet a little, but managing all the same.
