Riyeko/Loch | 5:00PM | Near the university of St. Iocus
Loch navigated the familiar path leading away from the Cerelia Labs with the hint of a satisfied smile on her face. Her mind was brimming with ideas, and how best to apply them to her own projects. Students milled about outside the building: gossiping, discussing their plans for the weekend, or simply lamenting their inevitable failure in the upcoming exams. Immersed in their little world as they were, none of them paid any mind to the black-clothed woman striding across campus. Her short cape billowed in the cool autumn breeze; every few steps, it revealed a glimpse of steel hidden underneath.
Her thoughts were disturbed by the whizzing sound of a fall; Loch whirled in place and located the source—which, presently, crashed against the ground, to mingled amusement and concern from a few nearby students. Whether the hume meteor was all right or not, Loch couldn't find it in her to care, and she was about to leave when she recognised the tiny woman sprawled on the floor.
Riyeko Lionward. The woman who'd allowed Nathaniel to share her workshop, and presumably one of the reasons Nathaniel had chosen a public place for his meeting with Loch over a month ago. She had sniffed around, after the boy's hesitance to reveal where he worked, though the information she'd been able to obtain spelled normalcy and boredom to her. No reports of flying machinists, yet here they were.
The students kept going about their business, but Loch remained standing by the spot where Riyeko had fallen. When the other machinist gave signs that she was not, in fact, dead, Loch clapped a few times, sardonic. "Impressive," she smirked. "That landing tech's gonna be hard to pitch to a buyer, though."
