Riyeko/Juliette | 7:00am - Park in the Commoners' district
On the mornings she was not required to attend a spar at dawn, Juliette still rose early. She had a rather long list of additional exercises that she fit into her week as best she could – some had been assigned by her mentor, others by previous teachers, still others she had devised herself – and her near-constant drive to improve her areas of weakness had her leaving the house before seven this morning and clipping a leash to Boris’ collar for a run.
Running with Boris regularly was a previously unknown pleasure, anyway. Alys mostly let her do whatever she liked with him, provided muddy paws were kept off of furniture; now instead of asking permission, she could simply dress and go, letting herself out of the gate while her sister slept.
This morning, she had the urge for something a little less crowded than the smaller local park; she thus took Boris via crystal to the Commoners’ District, jogging to keep warm until they reached the much larger park situated there. Upon arrival there, Boris took off and she sped her pace to match him. They continued on this way until she spotted a very odd sight – another woman with a dog, only she was not running behind her companion; she was flying.
Juliette managed to get Boris to stop just across the path from the woman, who was now pulling out a toy for her dog. Sadly, she was so occupied examining the curious flying contraption that she was not minding her own companion as well as she ought; when the toy was thrown, Boris apparently decided that Juliette’s interest was permission enough and took off so quickly that she lost hold of his leash and watched helplessly as he leapt up to grab the Frisbee in his teeth as the other dog was still chasing it.
“Boris!” Juliette ran after him, pulling the toy from his teeth, uncertain whether to glare or blush (she did both). “I am so sorry!” she called out to the woman and her dog, holding the brightly colored disc up. “He is usually better-behaved.”
