Re: Siana/Damia/Maria/Peony/Darius/ELEMENTAL can gtfo now
Water crashed around her. Her body would be jarred by the force of the spells, the presence of the water in the very air around him raising them to higher levels. Maria's own magic took some of the edge away, her aura glowing gently blue, shimmering as it reflected in the water droplets ricocheting from her armor.
Yet she stood calm, and firm. Faram, just as ever before, had not abandoned her. Holy Light had come out of the air the elemental manipulated. It had left the end of her sword as if an invisible rider held a holy shaft alight a chocobo. Her mouth had been silenced, but her soul still called out to her deity above the din.
Vaguely, she knew that the other women around her still fought. Healing waves washed over her, but she only had action now. Besides Peony, she was most capable of dealing the offensive. The creature was faltering and Maria was confident. That familiar power made her scalp tingle and gooseflesh raise on her arms.
O Giver of all supernatural gifts, who filled the soul of the Blessed Ajora, God of All, with such immense favors, I beg You to visit me with Your grace
Maria raised her sword once more to the sky, her eyes open and seemingly unfocused on the world around her. She struck down as a pool of water underneath the struggling elemental glimmered with gold light. A sharp cone of light erupted beneath it. It's point sharp, it's sides going jagged as if it were made of packed snow that was slipping down overnight, but in just a single second. It faded from view, the light shimmering out of focus as the elemental itself started to come undone, like a dissipating cloud of fireflies.
Cleanly, she sheathed her sword and looked around her. It was aggravating, and certainly did not seem like someone who believed in martyrdom, but as usual Maria had placed herself where she was, tactically, most advantageous to the group as well as herself. Which usually also meant she was still standing once everything was over.
