Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,

The feeling of magicks weaving around her were not an uncommon notion and the blow the followed it was considerably less devastating than expected. "Thanks!" Aspel yelled against the blustering wind and crashing waves, hoping whichever mage had administered it would hear. From the brief period on the battlefield she was beginning to pick up a few hints on the weak spots of the beasts, but without her holding down fort, it'd be hard to make any significant blow against the armored beast.
However, the voice that next broke the air was one she'd committed deeply to her memory for as long as she had been in contact with the younger man. Rictor, there was a strange relief in her heart and a brief bout of laughter burst out, most likely lost to the other noises about them but she yelled over to him regardless. "Only if you've brought me something pretty!" The tease was easy, almost like a 'welcome home' of sorts on its own. Though, there would be little time for that as Aspel was certain that Rictor would dive into battle in mere seconds so she simply yelled up at the beast to provoke it in her direction once again.
"Do you practice being that ugly?!" And that seemed to catch its attention for a moment, which would allow Rictor an opening if he saw fit to strike.
The next thing to strike her would not be a claw or other blow but... A strangely drawing feeling of the familiar. It tugged at the back of her mind, causing Aspel to glance around the field for a brief moment and that was all it took to gain sight of the dancer that had entered combat. "Fuck." Aspel growled under her breath. There was no on appropriately guarding that one right now. Though, if they could dismantle this threat fast enough, there wouldn't be a problem with falling back to give her better protection.
A quick twist of wrist turned the sword blade backwards facing, pointing towards her elbow and Aspel grabbed at the gun on her back, pulling it off and using the sword to deflect, the sentinel brought it forward, unloading a blast of hot lead to melt and break the creatures hide.
