Siana/Damia/Maria/Peony/ELEMENTAL HELLS YEAH
Peony took another step back, remaining near Maria. As Siana and the stranger prepared to meet the most recent wave of monsters, she raised her rod and concentrated, murmuring under her breath. There was no one in the way, so now was the time, if ever, to try something a little stronger. With the final words of the spell, she thrust her rod out, feeling the magic coalesce in her hands and explode from the tip of the weapon.
The Firaga roared across the street like a storm of flame, burning so brightly for a moment that even the rain could not dampen it. She could almost feel its warmth where she stood, but she had aimed carefully; none of the humans would have been hit.
When the flames died away, ghostly and immediate as they had come, the street in front of them was temporarily empty. She swayed but stayed on her feet.
She was about to suggest regrouping and moving forward when the rain suddenly got harder. She felt it like a weight across her head and shoulders, beating against her hood. She raised her head, feeling something amiss, but it was too late now; a seemingly small, innocuous ball of water and light was speeding towards them through the area she had just cleared. "Elemental!" she shouted over a sudden rumble of thunder; it was too late to run from it, so they would have no choice but to face it. Perhaps with its defeat the storm, too, would abate. If only she could keep it from focusing its energies on her...
She felt the pin on her collar heat to a temperature very near burning but returned her voice. She flung a Fira spell at the ball of light just as she was hit by a seemingly solid ball of water and crashed into a nearby wall. She felt a sharp pain in her left arm, sharp enough that she cried out, then... nothing, numbness. A blessing, in the moment. A worry, for tomorrow, if she survived to see it.
She gripped the rod with her right hand, knuckles white, and stood her ground, preparing her next spell. Everything had gone quiet; she could only hope that the others, if silenced, were at least not insensible. She could not take many such attacks, and in a battle of endurance, the spirit of water outmatched her in every way.
