Siana/Maria/Peony/Open?
Peony had been awakened from a deep sleep by Quiz digging his claws into her chest. There was noise in the hallway, and across the room, her network device glowed, seemingly message after message flooding it. What was happening?
It took a few precious minutes to sort it out, to make some sense out of the chaos; Siana, as always, was succinct in her messages. Trouble at the docks, your assistance would be appreciated. No details, but if the shouts in the hallway were any indication, it was not about the murder. I will be at the crystal nearest EKP headquarters in a quarter hour.. Having sent the message, she threw on clothing, topping it with her thickest rain cloak. Quiz mowed. "I will be home soon," she told him, bending over to scratch his ears. "Stay home; it's wet out there." Strapping her new rod against her body - no time like the present to test it in battle - and clipping her tiny amber rose pin to her collar, she hurried down the stairs and into the downpour.
Crystals were a quick and efficient way of travel. She knew Siana didn't like them, but anticipated that she would not argue their utility in this case. It took her moments to be transported to the location of the meeting. Stepping away from the crystal, she saw Siana and Maria - odd, she had never encountered them together, but then, they were colleagues - standing side by side. "I came as quickly as I could."
