"Thank you," Quen sighed. She sipped the wine, and then she sipped it again.
"I know I'm probably acting ridiculous," she confided to Ari. "I just really like him. He's so sweet and smart and kind. And the last time... it didn't happen like this." Quen didn't really like to think of herself as the kind of person who couldn't take rejection, but she'd never been rejected before. Granted, those times had been with boys her own age. Maybe younger boys were just easier, but she was getting bored of them.
