Aspel/Ari/Drake - FAIRLY LATE
"I believe one or another of us has previously made comment about being in the company of the most beautiful people in the room; I will happily repeat that this evening," Ari said with a laugh. The compliment came easily, being true enough from where she stood.
It was hard not to roll her eyes at Drake, though; she had specifically failed to mention Vivi now that Aspel seemed to have calmed somewhat, and there the conversation went again. "I don't know about having done just enough," she mused, attempting to get away from the unsavory topic. "They are bored of it now, but just think, if now that people are accustomed to seeing us cozy with each other -- and the shock value has finally subsided -- we suddenly eschew each other's company?" She shook her head, her tone very forlorn as she speculated, "I do think it will all begin again, about just who broke whose heart and what was that little Bards' Guild trollop doing, and however will the council work together now, et cetera, et cetera. No," she said, "I do think we are all stuck with each other for awhile longer. Terribly sorry -- however will you both cope with that?"
