A frown tugged at her lips as she watched Cormac leave the house. As he turned around all she could offer was a mouthed 'I'm sorry'. Truly she felt guilty for what she had done. Audrey didn't actually think the book's instructions would work. "I'm sorry," she choked louder, apologizing to the people remaining in the room. Everyone had gotten hurt because of her foolishness. It was supposed to be just a game. The guilt was sinking her heart. Audrey's hands remained around the neck as if rubbing it would get rid of the already apparent bruising that had formed from the choke hold of the doll. The alcohol, despite the adrenaline sobering her a bit, was still running through her veins. In combination with her current light-headed symptoms, it made it difficult to really walk straight.
Still, she tried.
Stumbling over her feet, she held onto the walls and counters for extra support, leaving Audrey's side. There was something on the other side of the room. The way the moonlight fell on it made it glitter, causing Audrey's eyes to narrow down and focus. "Is that what I ... did it drop...?" she mumbled aloud.
