Cormac watched the doll intently as everyone started to yell, except Audrey who barely croaked. It had fallen over and Merri had set it on fire.
It was over.
The nonsense was over and he could go home. At least, he thought he could go home. He couldn't because Merri was suddenly upon him. He was saying something ridiculous that he didn't even bother to acknowledge. Instead, he placed his hand over the wound, even as his own foot was still bleeding all over the Faram damned floor. He'd attend to it in a moment. For now a warm light glowed from his hand and descended into Merri's wound. When he lifted his hand, the wound was gone. "I'll send you a bill for that."
He thought about taking care of his foot here, but he just wanted to get out. And so he started to hobble toward the door. "I'm never drinking with any of you again," he declared as he tossed a potion back in the room for Audrey. Then he disappeared out into the hall. Fuck this place.
