One thing she had learned from an Ordalian mother was to never break the rules-- bend them. Pulling out an empty flask from one of her pouches she spat the saltwater inside.
As soon as she had stepped out of view, Audrey had immediately used Vanish. It would be a lot more amusing this way. If Ari had any thoughts of trying to scare the ninja, she would be poorly mislead. Her targets were very clear, Merri being the easiest. The most troublesome would be both the bards with their ability to dispel her own abilities. Through the house she searched for a spot she could camp out her victims. Finding an appropriate spot in hallway, she sat awaiting for her prey. Time passed by and she heard the first yelp, followed by heavy foot steps. Audrey perked from her perch, raising a curious brow. That was Miles' cry, she thought.
What an asshole. Thought he could scare her.
Pushing herself from the wall, she followed his voice. The light of the moon shined through one of the windows and her eyes drifted down to the weird coloring on the old wooden floor. Kneeling down and creaking the floorboard, her fingers swept over the black circular shape. It smeared. As she lifted her fingers to the light, she stood up a little aghast.
"Damn, he's taking this really far. What a bitch." Wiping the blood on her pant leg, she continued downstairs, not minding the trail.
From the other side of the room she heard another cry. Merri. It didn't surprise her as much as it should had, but it did give her a clue. Ari. Cormac and Ari are the only two that haven't screamed and if she had to pick the mischievous one of the two, it would be the bard. A grin spread on her lips, if the girl thought she was going to her, she was so wrong. Then as if on cue, Cormac fell victim. Her blood started rushing. She was the last one and she wouldn't be caught. She'd hide in the kitchen and ambush her there. Sliding over the wooden floor, her eyes found on something she wasn't expecting.
The doll was sitting on the island. She was still and knife was set in front of her. "Wow, this bitch moved it," she muttered stepping forward. Something felt wrong. Looking down at her hands, Vanish had worn off. Vanish didn't wear off just like that. Vanish was dispelled off. Was Ari in the room? "Ahaha, Ari. Very cute. You think you could scare me? Come out, I know you're here!" she shouted. The game was over.
"Damia."
It was a disembodied voice that shook her to her core. "Who the fu--"
"You named me Damia."
Her eyes drifted down to the doll. Was it looking at her? Dolls didn't look. In a split instant all of the cabinet doors and drawers flew open, one drawer in particular flew directly at Audrey's stomach, knocking the wind out of her. Audrey lied on the floor, holding her stomach and regaining her breath as the doll walked over and stood at the edge of the island, looking down at the blonde.
"You bound me and hurt me."
Something picked her up. Her body floated up and soon she felt pressure around her neck. "You disturbed me and you will be punished." Audrey's hands reached up as if trying to pry invisible hands off of her throat. "Let me go," she choked out, legs kicking wildly. Ari, Miles, Merri and Cormac ran through her mind. Were they? Did she really? She had to find them. "P-please."
The kunai, her kunai, was floating in the air, tip aimed at her.
"I found you."
Audrey's legs went limp. With the remainder of her breath, Audrey let out a shrill scream as loud as she could.
