THE FINAL THROWDOWN: EVERYONE
At Violet's request for a distraction, Peony nodded her assent and shifted her attention. The skeletons were fewer now, and the remaining cultists seemed to be more intent on escaping with their lives than waging battle. Not so their leader, who had given up all pretense at escape at the death of his right hand man and now seemed intent on facing them down regardless of the fact that the odds were inexorably turning against him.
He was powerful and dangerous, but he was one man. They would take him in; there was no doubt in peony's mind now as to the fact.
And so, she aimed now not to injure but to distract. He was likely to have warded himself against any status magicks she might send his way, but that was not her aim. Instead, she carefully prepared an Aero spell, attempting through the chaos to aim it just so; the sudden burst of wind exploded at the cult leader's back, not aimed at him so much as just behind, causing him to stumble in his stance and interrupting his chanting of no doubt another unholy spell. She followed this up with another -- the benefit of first tier spells was certainly the speed at which they could be cast -- at his left, attempting to keep him too preoccupied with remaining on his feet to defend against the warriors bearing down on him.
