THE FINAL THROWDOWN: EVERYONE
As the battle raged on, Violet lost count of the bodies that fell by her hand. Ame-no-Murakumo was a technique she'd perfected just a few years earlier. Now in the middle of a fight, Violet focused on her now glowing blade and shouted as a misty spirit shot out to attack her enemies. It was enough to knock down two men who'd been advancing on her, but not enough to stop the skeleton that was drawing near. With the swing of her katana, its skull rolled to the ground. Violet found herself grateful that Min seemed to be capable of cutting down the skeletons en masse with her fire spell.
Utterly focused, Violet split her attention between the closest of enemies that were surrounding her and her comrades who were all scattered throughout the room. It was a bit difficult to keep track of everyone and she cursed silently when she lost sight of some of her Blades. Violet reminded herself that they could handle themselves as a sword's blade drew near her cheek. She stepped back and sliced at the enemy who'd nearly cut her. His sword fell to the ground, a disembodied hand still attached to it.
The dark magic was still heavy in the air. Violet was pushing herself through the pain of it. A fresh wave hit, but Violet was growing accustomed to the feel of it. She still hurt and wanted nothing more than to fall to her knees in surrender, but she ignored the spell's influence as best she could. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Rictor making a dash across the room. She also noticed a skeleton warrior shambling toward him, attempting to block his path. Violet sprinted, using her sword to trip up the skeleton and send it crumbling into a heap. For good measure, she brought her boot down on the skull with a loud crunch. She didn't spare the Korporal a glance. She couldn't, as a shout was drawing her attention elsewhere. Banes was shouting her partner's name.
It took Violet only a moment to access the situation. She saw Monaco in trouble, Banes running toward him, and Min being left without an ally to watch her back. Worse, a man in black clothing was advancing on Min from behind. Violet made her way to Peony's back, and the man's sword, which had been aiming for Peony, was now met by Violet's katana.
