Ari couldn't quite choke back a giggle. This girl definitely had promise - and guts. "An impromptu party to commemorate the event," she said with another laugh. "Complete with snacks and music, if you're willing to play these." She gestured to the castanets.
"Though actually, I have to go in a minute or two," she said with some regret, getting up out of her seat. Merri's awkwardness was amusing to watch, but she didn't want to overstay her welcome - or annoy Quen again. "Thanks for the invitation, Quen - I'm happy to have made a new friend. And Merri, I'm sure I'll see you sooner rather than later!" She squeezed Quen's hand in a gesture of farewell, then did the same with Merri, offering him a smile, too. "Things to do, songs to write, trouble to get into."
Having said and received her good-byes, she headed for the door.
