"Well," Ari said, relaxing into a laugh despite herself, "I would be lying if I said I didn't know about... boys. Though why everyone thinks they fall all over themselves for me, I'll never know." She had some success, but it was mostly due to the fact that she put herself out there and took risks. People claimed they liked demure women, but she knew the truth - a bit of initiative went a long way, especially when one was surrounded by sleepy, proper virgins.
"And that's another thing, thank whatever force is listening that I did not end up here after all; the overwhelming virginity would have driven me to violence in no time, and that would not have been fun for anyone." She leaned back thoughtfully before continuing. "Your age is completely irrelevant; I've a notion you're more grown up than he is." Ari herself looked young enough that she had bumped up against this particular prejudice - but usually no more than once with the same person. Still, her methods were perhaps a bit unorthodox for this setting. "If you would enjoy his company in a manner that is more than friendly, you must simply drag him into illumination with you," she shrugged. "Ambush him and remember that actions speak louder than words. The worst he can say is 'no,' and if he does, you'll only be right back where you started." She tapped her finger against her chin and murmured, "It is difficult to remain enamored with someone who rejects you."
