"More than enough," Quenten laughed, clicking the castanets together. She wasn't any sort of a musician herself, and she didn't have a natural sense of rhythm. Still, she liked the clear sound they made, and she clicked them arrhythmically for quite some time before removing them and placing both the castanets and the conch shell on the bedside table.
"Thank you so much," Quen said sincerely. "Both of those are wonderful and so thoughtful. You're such a kind person. Now I feel bad that I've been so annoyed at you." She stopped suddenly, realizing what she'd said, and clapped her hand over her mouth.
"I'm so sorry," she apologized quickly, her face burning in embarrassment at what she'd done. "You must think I'm so ungrateful and ill-mannered and horrible. Now that I've met you, I really like you a lot. I knew I would, and I do."
