And as Aspel leaned in closer, she had to upgrade her assessment of the other woman’s mood from simply merry and perhaps a little buzzed to something even better, and considerably more interesting. She had to admire a woman uninhibited by public displays of affection, and Audrey had said she hoped some of her luck would rub off…
“Well, in that case,” she responded, with a sideways glance to their mostly full glasses, “I must admit, I’ve never been terribly fond of beer, so relocation would certainly be no hardship. And now I am even more curious, so I suppose the choice seems obvious.”
