Ari/Aud/Miles | 12:00pm
Ari sighed quietly and said, "In which case we'd best make a turn before he notices us," since Aud seemed so vehemently against the encounter. And considering how Aud was dressed (and it was not the warmest autumn day in Ari's recollection), it seemed unlikely they could walk by him without attracting notice. But right as she tugged her friend's arm in what seemed a likely direction, he looked up and saw them, and at that point excusing themselves really wasn't an option.
And so she smiled brightly enough for both of them as Miles approached. When he spoke, she rolled her eyes and glibly responded, "I am amazed and astounded by your audacious alliteration and masterful mimicry of the marvelous master of our guild."
Two could play that game, after all.
"Enjoying yourself, are you?" it did not seem he had been drinking, or at the very least certainly not to excess. Between that fact and his manner of dress, she wagered she could take a guess as to his chosen occupation for the afternoon. There were Knights of the Peace in the crowd, but not nearly enough to be a serious hindrance to someone who knew how to be careful.
