Song done and aid -- such as it was -- delivered, Ari rocked back on her heels and settled in to watch the show. It promised to be quite a performance.
The woman seemed to have a similar idea. She was smaller than most fighters Ari had met -- they would likely stand nearly eye to eye -- but the bard assumed the staff was not just for show. Besides, hadn't Drake been making noises about assigning Pyr to someone able to keep him in his place? If this was the boy's new mentor, she had think that she was probably tough, in her own particular way.
"Oh, Melvin and I go back a ways," she replied to the question, her tone cheery. "I do hope he is giving you just the right amount of trouble." Then, to the squire, she called out, "Come on, now, Melvin, don't let a ball of feathers outmaneuver you!"
