PRE-MEETING | 10:30, Perdita/Juliette
Juliette sat in one of the chairs, quietly observing the proceedings. She had come a bit early for the opportunity to browse Amy's wares, then had settled in a corner of the room after ensuring Ridley did not need any assistance. Fortunately, the young mage seemed to have things well in hand.
A heavy bag sat beside her chair, filled with the books she had brought as her suggestions -- though she would hand one to Morgayne once she arrived, as promised (the more she thought of it, the more it seemed Treasure Isle would suit the other squire very well indeed). She had carried them here with the faint idea that people might wish to examine the offerings more closely, and better fingerprints sticky from cookies in her books (as much as the thought distressed her) than those meant for sale...
Now that the room was filling up, though, she felt awkward in her quiet observation. When a pretty young woman settled in the chair next to hers and withdrew a notebook from her bag, Juliette yearned for something to do with her hands -- just so she would not appear quite as uncomfortable as she felt at the prospect of sharing her thoughts (even on a subject so harmless as literature) with strangers. She reached into her bag blindly for the first thing that came to her hand: her favorite -- and by this time, quite battered -- Dumasse novel. With a faintly relieved smile, she opened to the middle (where she had marked a particularly memorable fight sequence) and began to reread. This would help her pass the time.
