"I should like to hear it when it's done," Altair murmured, finishing his dinner and re-packing anything that was left for the next day. It seemed like it was about time to try to sleep, although Altair wasn't sure how, exactly they were supposed to sleep in a downpour. The rain had put the fire out, so he would have to somehow keep warm with only his cloak and his bedroll.
Taking his bedroll, he unrolled it on a particularly dry-looking piece of ground. He removed coat and packed it, and he put his boots outside his bed roll. Then he climbed inside, burrowing deep and using his pack as a pillow. He put his cloak over his head to try to ward off as much wayward rain as possible. The ground was hard and uncomfortable, but at least he was dry. Hopefully he would fall asleep and the morning would come quickly.
