Gillian/Ari | 4:00 PM - GOODWIN'S OUTFITTING
"I will take that as a compliment, I suppose, though you do set the bar quite low if you are comparing me to this." She laughed and then shrugged off the comment about the sad state of her armor. "It has been through something like war, so these are proud battle scars. Better it than me." A sentiment anyone who had ever been in a fight -- and Gillian had been in far more than Ari, she was certain -- could appreciate. "Do you think it is salvageable?" She'd hate to have to replace it now.
As it seemed the person manning the counter was in the forge, she settled in for a bit of conversation. it was always interesting to catch up with someone she hadn't seen in some time.
At the very bland comment about the state of things lately, she let out an incredulous laugh. "I'll say. I would ask, 'what's next,' but I wouldn't want to tempt fate. I'm glad for the bit of quiet we're having recently. May it last." She rapped her knuckles a few times against the wooden counter. "Any interesting adventures recently, to go with the exciting times?" She thought she might sign on for a job or two this winter, depending on how the season shook out.
