Lan had learned that you had to be a good businesswoman, or no businesswoman at all. Being a Master Thief was exciting, but she needed a day job, and some half assed excuse of a job wasn't really going to explain how she had more money than a lot of people
Plus she didn't trust anyone to let them run her errands.
"Ah, isn't it nice when things go well?" she asked, a hand going up to align a couple of rogue strands of hair. He wasn't being subtle at all, and she liked that. Lan knew it was a matter of time before Cian lost any pretense of civility, if she pushed hard enough, but being in the tight rope was a lot more fun than going back to boring business.
So she started to walk, fully intending to go along with him, at least until they left the docks. "A little drizzle never hurts though. Keeps you awake, if anything."
