“I will. Apologies for my clumsiness.” And as far as Juliette knew, that should be the end of the polite exchange, but the woman was speaking again.
“A pleasure,” she said, once the introductions were complete. She was often bewildered by the variety of occupations undertaken by the Bards’ Guild. Some jobs seemed to relate directly to entertainment but… corsairs? Harbormasters and their assistants? It was all very strange.
Stranger yet that the woman seemed to remember the conversation they had had on the network quite some time ago, but she recalled it now, too, so she nodded and said, “Yes, I was. Thank you for the information; it was quite helpful.”
