Kiernan/Juliette | Commoners’ District – Park | 11:00am
The poor girl looked absolutely terrified. Kiernan couldn't blame her; how many times as a squire did he play hooky and gotten caught? The punishments he'd received had never been easy to stomach no matter how many times it happened, though there were those months when he was sixteen where he'd miss out on training for days on end and nobody would say a word to him. Those circumstances had been... different, and Juliette was one of the good ones.
Kiernan leaned against the bar of the swing set and studied the girl, his brows knitted together. He didn't get to know a lot of the squires' personal lives, and even if he did, he wouldn't be able to keep them straight. He knew the important things: their names, their mentors, and sometimes even their aspirations, but their family lives and teenage dramas were beyond anything any of them cared to tell him, as such of adolescents and adults. Beyond what he knew of Juliette and that her mentor was Theo, it was difficult to remember. She was a noble kid, wasn't she? Or was that one of the other ones?
"Hey, I won't tell," he said as a means of reassurance. Again, he didn't know what was going on in her life, and if she had been Conan, he might not have cared and dragged her back to Theo. But she was not Conan, or any of the other troublemakers, which meant that if she was ditching, something was up. "What're you doing out here?"
If she didn't want to say, he wouldn't push, but it was worth asking in case she might want to talk about it.
