Peony/Lionel/Merri | late morning | G?
There would, Peony thought, likely be more work for the council after the… somewhat unexpected events of the day prior. Not that mages weren’t expected to be somewhat eccentric, but there were certain lines which, once crossed, brought with them added scrutiny. At least everyone seemed unharmed and the energy surrounding the convention had not entirely waned, and some of the drop-off could be attributed to the exhaustion that naturally came with the final day of such an event.
Today was Peony’s one and only day to enjoy the convention as an attendee; between the sessions she had led and the behind-the-scenes work required of the council as a while to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible, she had been far too occupied earlier in the week to spend more than a little time catching up with friends and colleagues or attending more than one or two lectures. This afternoon, however, she had a span of time to call her own. She thought to browse the wares after lunch, but at present, she made her way to the makeshift café and refreshment area which had been arranged for attendees to socialize and relax between lectures and exhibitions.
She was a little early for the agreed-upon time, so she was not terribly surprised not to see either of the men she was meeting when she scanned the room. Walking over to the counter, she ordered herself a pot of jasmine tea before selecting a table near the middle of the room to sit and wait for her companions to arrive.
