"Generally not when someone is in the state you are in," Ari replied with a laugh. "I try not to waste my inappropriate ideas on hopeless situations; they are generally such excellent ideas, after all, and it seems a shame to squander them." Aspel did look better now, but certainly not well enough for anything but rest. Ari wasn't at all surprised when her offer was rejected, either, though she did sigh a little. Hopefully sleep would come on its own.
"As you like," she answered. "Do rest, though. Maybe take a potion or two." She squeezed back before extracting her hand. Once Aspel had sat up, Ari stood, putting her instrument back in its case and slinging the case back over her shoulder. "As for that," she responded to Aspel's last teasing comment, "I am certain it is not due to lack of effort on the part of the women of Emillion; most likely, you fight them off at the bottom of the stairs."
With that, she followed the gesture, stepping back into the living area and heading to the door. "And speaking of, at least stay off the stairs, would you?" she asked. "You need to rest if you're going to dance, and the ball is only a few short hours away."
