Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
She wasn't entirely sure how she had done it, but even with the gloves on, she'd somehow managed to work the communicator appropriately to send the message required. After that, it had been thoughtlessly left on the cot next to her leg. There really wasn't enough brain power in the moment to figure out how to put it away, though, she probably should have attempted to regardless. The white mages had tended to her appropriately, dropping a series of curative magics on her, one after the other. The sad reality of it was, she thought while they cast, that Karras probably hadn't even given the bout his full strength. She had always wondered if the good natured man really could live up to such a title and now she knew for a fact, that yes, indeed he could. Eyes slipped closed, a low 'heh' slipped out as she wondered how many warriors it would require to take a man like the Riskbreaker down.
Another question was asked and Aspel nodded, another spell and then it seemed the White Mages were pleased enough with their work that they left her there to rest for the moment. How much time had passed, she wasn't certain of, but it didn't feel like much at all when Ari's voice cut through the noise of people bustling too and fro in the tent.
"Could I have?" Eyes didn't open but a single brow quirked upward, a smug amusement coloring her tone and tired features. Eyes slowly opened, something in them clearly pleased at the way events had unrolled regardless of her current state. "You told me you would be witnessing the matches, not lurking about the Healers tents."
A small, single laugh was caught in her throat, the smile seeming more and more smug as Ari spoke, a ridiculous level of being pleased with herself easily apparently. "I can stand." Taking up the hilt of her sword, Aspel pressed the tip of it down into the ground the tent had been set upon and used it as a steadying device as she slowly rose, the mithral armor had held up well against Karras, even better than Aspel had expected, but not well enough that it wouldn't need to be repaired over the next few days. Taking a moment, she adjusted to being standing before remembering the handheld which had been left on the bed.
"Would you mind?" Aspel vaguely gestured in the direction of the device. "More respectable you say?" Aspel laughed hard at that one, flinching half way through before shaking her head slightly. "I hardly see the difference." With that a very slow, and stiff pace was set as she began to remove herself from the tent and the healers area, hopefully, with Ari by her side.
